Halloween Cards by Joyce Pacer

Let me share with you a few Halloween cards that I made in about two hours using the “Them Bones” designer paper, 162215 and the Glow in the Dark embellishments, 162220.  THEM BONES SUITE COLLECTION, page48, Mini.

Halloween Card 1

The tombstone was cut from one piece of paper and the Skeletons were fancy cut from a page with many dancing Skeletons. It was added to a black card base and a Pumpkin Pie card. Glow in the dark bats were added.

Halloween Card 2

The Cat on the tombstone is one of the pictures in the designer paper cut out, mounted on basic black cardstock and bats and ghost embellishments added. This was added to another piece of designer paper and added to a black card.

Halloween Card 3

The background was cut from one of the pictures in the designer paper. The skeleton is fancy cut and the ghost embellishments were added. Wink of Stella was added to the skeleton. A Basic Black background was added and this was mounted on a Pumpkin Pie background.

Halloween Card 4

I cut one of the pictures into three pieces and added to a Night of Navy layer. Then the skeletons were fancy cut. I stamped the “Boo” from and past Paper Pumpkin Kit and added to the card in the Right corner. Then the card front was added to a black card.

I went over all the skeletons with Wink of Stella to make them sparkle.

WARNING: WHEN YOU START PLAYING WITH THE “THEM BONES” DESIGNER PAPER IT IS HARD TO STOP!  This is only a sample of the ones I have made. It took about 15 minutes for each card. You could make at least thirty cards with the pictures on this paper.

Stepping Up Cards by Guest Artist, Kivonne Tucker

Stepping Up-Pic1

When you hear stampers talking about “Stepping a Card UP”, stampers ask what does that mean? To me it means adding more layers. Stepping up your cards is a great way to get the most of your favorite card designs. The concept for stepping up cards is simple. Start with a basic card design and then build upon that design by adding layers or accents to change the look. You can also look at this with stampers who is new to stamping will create a card with one layer and is really focused on stamping. (This are also called Quick cards) A casual stamper will add a little more to their cards including layers, ribbon, and embellishments. An avid stamper will add fancy folds, technique, and more layers. As stampers you will learn to create all these cards.

The key to stepping up starts with a basic card design and build upon it by adding layers, embellishments, Embossing folders, to change the look/focus. Today I am going to start with Designer Series Paper and add on.

Today I am using the “All About Autumn” Suite from the new Mini Catalog. (September – December 2023)
