Lovely Lattice Video

If you have not had the chance to see the Lovely Lattice stamp set in the Sale-a-Bration catalog, you may want to take a look.  The flower image is great for so many occasions.  My favorite is embossing the image on vellum and coloring the underside with our Stampin' Blends.  This was one of our projects for our stamp club meetings this month.

Million Bulb Walk

NORFOLK bOTANICAL gARDENDon't miss this!  You will love the Dominion Energy Garden of Lights at Norfolk Botanical Garden!  I went last night with a friend and we had a great walk.  Yes, it was cold last night (so we layered and I bought a knit headband in the Gift Shop to add warmth!) but it was also beautifully clear and crisp!  We go every year and every year it just gets better and better ~ more lights, more music and more displays.  Don't miss it!

Update from Stampin' Up! on our BLENDS

In February 27’s weekly updates, we let you know some of the challenges we’re experiencing in maintaining an adequate supply of Stampin’ Blends. Extremely long lead times with our supplier, combined with an unexpected increase in demand, has caused many of our current 27-color offering to go on backorder. In fact, if you’ve been monitoring the Inventory Status Report, you’re probably already aware of the increasing backorders and low-inventory alerts for many of our Stampin’ Blends.

At this time, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to make our entire Stampin’ Blends product line unorderable until approximately the end of May. This is not a decision we came to lightly; but with backorders only likely to get worse in the coming weeks, it is in the best interest of the company—and by association, Stampin’ Up! demonstrators—to temporarily make them unavailable.

Stampin’ Blends will be made unorderable beginning Friday, March 23, noon (MT).

Be assured that this decision has not been made due to any financial challenges on the part of Stampin’ Up! This is purely due to the rise in demand and the complications we face with our supplier for this particular product line.

We will keep you posted on the availability of Stampin’ Blends as we learn more.

Blends & the new Occasions Catty ~ did yours arrive?

Shannon gives us further lessons using the BLENDS and some of the stamp sets arriving soon ~ in the OCCASIONS CATALOG.  Let me know what you think!  I know we are all so busy getting ready for Christmas but ~ next week we'll have time to play.  Let me know if you can join me for my EMBOSSING PASTE PARTY on the 29th ~ we need to play a little!

Happy Blending with Brandi...

The video today builds on the use of the Designer Series Paper that we talked about yesterday ~ JUST ADD COLOR on page 189 in the annual catalog.  Brandi gives us additional information on the new alcohol markers, BLENDS, using the COLOR LIFTER and the SKIN TONE MARKERS.  Really interesting and a video you may want to watch and re-watch!!!  I did!  Thanks for stopping by!  Susan Elise

3" x 3" Envelopes & heavyweight DSP

3 x 3 cards for stamp club

Did you know that the 3" x 3" Whisper White Envelopes have returned?  They were in the Stampin' Up! catalog years ago and they were so nice to use for little gift cards.  You can find them on page 44 in the Holiday Catalog and I think that Stampin' Up! included them because they fit perfectly in the new MINI PIZZA BOXES.  3" x 3" cards in a little gift box ~ what a great way to say thank you to a friend.

Did you wonder what the Designer Series Paper on page 189 in the catalog was all about?  I am sure that it was designed to use with the new BLENDS.  It is 12" x 12", 2 sheets each of 6 single-sided designs.  It is a heavier paper than the other DSP so that it holds the color with the alcohol makers.  The two cards above are part of our NOVEMBER Stamp Club projects so that everyone has a chance to use the new Blends!

There's a new kit in town........

The Color Me Happy Project Kit makes 16 cards, 4 each of 4 designs.  It was designed by Stampin' Up! as an introduction to the use of the new alcohol markers called BLENDS.  The very best way to learn about the kit is to see the video below ~ Andrea will tell us all about it.

Let me know if you have questions, if you would like to see the kit or if you would like to order the kit and/or the BLENDS.  Feel free to stop by and try them out!  Susan Elise

We used the new BLENDS in our stamp club this morning and we have lots of questions about blending the colors.  The video, below, from Stampin' Up!, begins to explain the process (probably much better than I can).  There are a series of videos from Stampin' Up! and I will be posting  them all for you.  In this one, Carrie uses two different stamp sets.  The first one is AT HOME WITH YOU, on page 54 and the second one is CLIMBING ORCHID on page 21 ~ both in the annual catalog.  Let me know if you have questions!  Susan Elise
