My birthday was last week and the very best part was several days of a mailbox full of cards ~ beautiful birthday cards! I wanted to share them yesterday but Stampin' Up! surprised all of us with an unexpected SALE so I decided to share today ~ alphabetically. I hope you will enjoy these cards from my wonderful stamping friends ~ I feel so blessed. Thank you to each of you.
We all need birthday cards ~ here's one that is special for the coming season. Enjoy!
When you sign up to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, the person that you sign up 'under' is your Upline. I am an 'upline' to an amazing group of ladies from Hampton Roads, Northern Virginia and Florida. Once a month we meet in the Cat/Art Studio to enjoy each others company, share ideas, swap cards, celebrate and, of course, stamp! You come if you can ~ no rules for demonstrators ~ no stress either. My team, SOUTHERN STARS, meets on the second Saturday of the month at 2 PM in the CAT/ART STUDIO. (If you would be interested in joining please don't hesitate ~ Sale-A-Bration is the ABSOLUTELY BEST TIME to join!!!) These are the swap cards from our meeting ~ FABULOUS, RIGHT?
The Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper (152311) is Black and White with gold foil accents on some of the designs. It can be paired with the Honey Bee Bundle on page 30 in the Spring Mini Catalog but it certainly doesn't have to be ~ it can easily stand on its own and it's FREE with a $50 Stampin' Up! order during Sale-A-Bration (SAB). In STAMP CLUB this month we used the HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU stamp set which is also in the SAB brochure. I added some of the the Golden Honey DSP to the cards we made to show you how versatile this paper is. And, the video below will show you more possibilities.
This card was originally designed by one of the STARS on my team ~ Geri Foster. She presented her card (with instructions) using the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle (page 37 AC) at our meeting on Saturday. Thank you Geri ~ terrific job! It is a 'gated' card which means that it opens in the center. I immediately began thinking about creating a similar card using the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper on page 25 in the new mini catalog. So, here it is ~ print off the instructions ( when you download it print both sides as I have additional pictures on the second page to help you see how the card opens) and let me know if you have any questions! It's not as hard as it looks (but, I will admit it is not for a beginner!).
Thank you to everyone who sent, or brought, me cards. I appreciate your birthday wishes so much. The ones I have highlighted in these two posts used current (or retired) Stampin' Up! products and I thought you would love the ideas for creating your own birthday cards!
I wanted to share my beautiful handmade BIRTHDAY CARDS with you. It is such a treat getting handmade cards in the mail and I so appreciate the birthday wishes in September. Thank you to all of you who sent cards, gifts and good FB wishes. I'll post some today and the rest tomorrow.
I wanted to share my beautiful birthday cards with you and THANK all of you who sent me birthday wishes. It has been a fun birthday! I'll have more for tomorrow!
Tripod enjoyed the wrapping.
Gift from Judy for the garden ~ so nice.
My new bench for the garden ~ purrrrfect as it will stand up to the weather!
So we headed for the beach ~ it was very very windy! And, I met another Packers Fan as we were walking back from the sand and surf. GO PACK GO! Thanks for all the BIRTHDAY WISHES ~ it has been a lovely day! Susan Elise
