Christmas Class FUNdraiser today.....

FUNdraiser Christmas Card Class this morning to benefit CHKD.  Marti, Mary, Barbara, Sunny and Diane all made these holiday cards to send to friends and took home persimmons to snack on.  I still have more if you would like some...

CLASS 1This card uses gold foil and the Shining Brightly Specialty Designer Series Paper (#162378).

CLASS 2This card uses the Sparkling Snowflakes Bundle (stamp set & punch) on page 39 in the Mini.

CLASS 3I think that this is my favorite card.  It is a very simple card using the Fragrant Forest background stamp on page 27 in the Mini Catalog.  We used Shaded Spruce ink to cover the stamp ~ it prints so beautifully!  I was amazed at the detail and texture of the trees.  Let me know if you are interested in the project sheets for these cards.  One more tomorrow!

Fragrant Forest ~ page 27 Mini Catalog, #162108, $20

Supplies:

· Stamp Sets: Fragrant Forest (162198); Handmade Hugs (161401)

· Cardstock: Pretty Peacock (150880); Basic White (159276)

· Stamp Pads: Lost Lagoon (161678); Old Olive (147090); Pretty Peacock (150083)

· Misc: Decorative Circle Punch (159174); Handmade Tag Punch (159690); Clear Block F (118483);  Dimensionals (104430)

Measurements:

· Pretty Peacock 11” x 4 ¼”; 2 ½” x 2 ½”

· Basic White 5 ¼” x 4”; 2 ½” x 2 ½”

Instructions:

 · Add the Fragrant Forest stamp to an “F” block.

Fragrant Forest 1 (2)
· Ink up the stamp using the three colors of ink. I used Pretty Peacock ink on the bottom row of trees, Old Olive on the middle row of trees and Lost Lagoon on the top row of trees. I applied the ink directly from the ink pad. I went over it until I felt it had a good coating of ink. TIP: If you find you have “over sprayed” the ink on the other rows, just wipe it off with a baby wipe.

Fragrant Forest Card

· Once you have the ink on the stamp, add your Basic White 5 ¼” x 4” to the stamp, carefully laying it down. Take a piece of scrap paper (I used grid paper) and lay it down and rub all over to get the ink on the paper.

· Once you have that done, gently lift up your paper (tweezers work great!).

· Adhere this to the Pretty Peacock card base.

· Stamp the outline and the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink on the Basic White 2 ½” x 2 ½” piece. Punch out using the Handmade Tag Punch.

· Punch out a Pretty Peacock piece using the Decorative Circle Punch.

· Adhere the sentiment to the Pretty Peacock punch out and then to the front of the card with Dimensionals.

TIP: You can use all kinds of color combinations and just adding one color of ink works great as well. This stamp set works great for any occasion: Get Well, Sympathy, Masculine Birthday, Thinking of you, and Thank you!

Joy of Christmas Suite Collection

Floral NOEL

There are so many wonderful suites of products in the September – December Mini Catalog that it is hard to choose just one.  I am highlighting the Joy of Christmas Suite (161983) that begins on page 28. The images are traditional but not vintage and the stamp set is photopolymer…my favorite type.

This suite includes two bundles the Joy of Noel stamp set and dies packaged as a bundle (161967) and the Christmas Classics Bundle (161977).  I am including a picture of the NOEL bundle.

Joy of Noel BundleThere are two packages of DSP. One is the beautiful Joyful 12 x 12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (161980) which has gold foil on the designs on one side of each sheet of paper. The other DSP is Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper (161958). This paper has some floral/leafy images, a couple of music images, buffalo plaids, and woodgrain designs. The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Old Olive, Shaded Spruce, Pecan Pie, and Pebbled Path, all very traditional colors.

    Joy of Christmas DSPs

The embellishments accompanying this suite are Loose Holly Gems & Sequins (161981) and Black & Very Vanilla 3/8” Large Check Ribbon (161982)
