Forever Friendship

I tried again to upload the picture of the card on this project sheet ~ with no luck today either.  I am so sorry but I hope that you will download the instructions to see for yourself.  I used the FOREVER FRIENDSHIP STAMP SET on page 66 in the Mini Catalog and the LEAF FALL 3D embossing folder on page 53.  The image is the sweater in Poppy Parade and the sentiment is "Time for a card-again" ~ so clever!  Print it off and enjoy!!!

Project Sheet and an apology....

My apologies for not posting recently but I have not been able to post any pictures since last Thursday.  I have contacted Typepad over and over without results or, assistance.  So today, I am just posting the pdf for Project Sheet Tuesday ~ my picture of the card will not load.  So, print off the project sheet and enjoy the FOND OF AUTUMN card with the Fall Leaf embossing folder!

Melissa & the Little Creek Church ladies group

Melissa has contributed her creative endeavors many times to my blog and she continues today with a recent event at her church.  I thought you would be interested.  She lives one of Stampin' Up's Goals ~ We will make a difference in the lives of others by sharing creativity and opportunities to enhance lives.  Thank you Melissa!

MnT sample

The DSP was called “Share What You Love” so I did!  Our Little Creek Church ladies group meets (almost) monthly for some activity.   For our October gathering we choose a craft day – some painting and some bracelet making; I came up with an easy Make n Take.  I even put out a bunch of Susan Elise’s business cards!

  • I cut up loads of Share What You Love DSP 3.875 x 5.125
  • I cut up loads of Basic Black CS 4 x 5.25 ( I wanted a very thin Basic Black and color backing)
  • I cut up loads of matching CS in several colors 4.125 x 5.375
  • I provided several pre-stamped sentiments, all in coordinating colors
  • I provided several styles of doilies, all in coordinating colors
  • I precut DSP banners, and provided lots of scrap DSP and CS from the trimmings above

MnT set-up

With a Basic White card, take one from each bowl and assemble.  Everything matched everything, so no one had to worry about style.  Some folks veered from the sample, by putting the banner in different directions (north/south) or making a starburst effect with several CS rays.  They went crazy, and had loads of fun.

Halloween ~ Scary Cute!

I received these two cards this week and wanted to share them with you ~ they are too cute ~ too scary cute!  The top card was created by Theresa Conley, a team member from Portsmouth.  I included the inside of the card so you can see the creative way that she has used her blending brushes!  The second card ~ Trick or treat you're so sweet ~ is from Susan Tran.  Love both these cards ~ thank you stamping friends!

The stamp set and dies, Scary Cute Bundle (#159852), are on page 56 in the Fall Mini Catalog.  There are 13 cling stamps in the set and 12 dies to make these cute cards.

A perfect example of this is the Cottage Wreaths stamp set and coordinating Country Wreath dies on page 59 in the Mini Catalog. You can make wreaths for tags or put them on cards to celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving and/or Christmas. The wreaths look lovely paired with the festive greetings in this set, or you can customize them for any occasion. The dies include wreaths and a variety of shapes like cutout leaves, bows, and more. Fall Leaf 3D embossing folder techniques

Leaf Fall Pic 1
Page 53, Fall Mini Catalog

It is difficult to find this embossing folder in the current Mini Catalog ~ look at the top of page 53.  One way to use it is to actually add ink directly to the folder.  You can add it on one side of the folder or both sides.  The two pictures below show the difference in the two sides.

Cut the cardstock into squares and add them to your card with 2 pieces facing up one way and the other 2 pieces showing the reverse.

Also, try embossing Metallic cardstock.

You could also use pastels once you have run your cardstock through the embossing machine.  Use the Soft Pastels Assortment (154585, page 126 AC) by scraping the pastel with the spatula end of the 'Take A Pick' tool.  Blend the dust with your fingers over the embossed leaves.

You may also want to try markers, watercolor pencils, blending brushes or your water painter!  Whatever you try ~ relax and have fun!  Send me a picture of your creation ~ I would love to see what you created!  Susan Elise

Fond of Autumn Die

In our Stamp Clubs this month we have been using the FOND OF AUTUMN BUNDLE that you can find on page 52 in Stampin' Up!'s Mini Catalog.  There are a number of unique dies with the set allowing various parts of the stamped image to be die cut.  I love the possibilities.  One of the dies, the one used on this card, has been particularly hard to describe/understand ~ even with a sample that I created.  This card, by my friend Laura Milligan, is the best use of this particular die that I have seen.  Download and enjoy!

More Glitter

Love this Glitter Washi Tape on page 57 in the Fall Mini Catalog!  It is a little hard to find so look at the top of the page on the left side.  And, you'll find the BEWITCHING BUNDLE on the same page with witch hat stamps and the punch used on this card.

To create the hats line up the washi tape like this and then punch the hats at an angle.

Here's another way to use the punch & the glitter washi ~ on this slimline card ~

Line up the washi tape like this ~
