The Moon & Marti.........

Marti Jones took the BLENDING BRUSHES CLASS that I held last night at six.  This was a Blending 101 Class and there were six projects with the goal of learning the 'how to' of the new blending brushes that are on page 70 in Stampin' Up!'s Mini Catalog.  (The order number for the brushes is $153611, $12 for three brushes.)

I got a text from Marti this afternoon and it said, "I was looking at the brushing projects we did last night and I'm so impressed!  Mikie (Marti's husband) didn't believe I had done the moon one myself, he said it looked professional!  Thanks for teaching!

Blending Brushes 102 Class

Yesterday I showed you my studio 'bulletin board' with the pictures of six of the twelve techniques for my Blending Brushes 101 Class.  Below is a similar picture showing the second six of the twelve techniques that I teach in my Blending Brushes 102 Class.  The Class will be on Saturday, May 15, at 1 PM in the Cat/Art Studio.  EMAIL ME TO SIGN UP NOW.

I also mentioned that I have a Blending Brushes PDF.  If you are unable to take a class this might be of help to you as you begin to use these fabulous brushes.  I send it to everyone who does take the class and ask that they read it in advance of coming to class.  I think it is very helpful.  Let me know if you have any questions.  I am certainly not an expert but I do love the brushes and the results they create!

Blending Brushes Class 101

You can find our fabulous BLENDING BRUSHES on page 70 in the Mini Catalog!  They are so soft and easy to use ~ much better than sponges or sponge daubers ~ you will love them.  My next 101 CLASS is on Friday, April 30, at 6 PM in the studio.  The class will be small and you will need to bring your brushes with you (or, I may have brushes that you can get as part of the class ~ just let me know).  I have four stampers signed up for the class but the class can hold six so if you would like to join us ~ give me a call ~ 641-9354.

In the 101 CLASS you will learn six techniques.  The picture below (my studio bulletin board) shows samples of the techniques along with an information card describing the technique and providing some 'how to' hints.  You will have the cards and make the samples in class.  More information on the 102 CLASS and a PDF for you tomorrow!

We will use the HYDRANGEA HILL SUITE on page 18 in the January ~ June Mini Catalog.  The colors are lovely ~ Rococo Rose, Highland Heather, Seaside Spray, Misty Moonlight and Old Olive.  The Designer Series Paper screams SPRING!  Take a break during the middle of the week ~ it's healthy.  The class is $30 but half price with an order of $25 in class.

I love this card and I love this technique ~ Color Blending with Stampin' Up!'s new BLENDING BRUSHES (#153611, $12 for 3) on page 70 in the Mini Catalog.  I taught my Blending Class 101 last weekend and we learned six techniques to use with the brushes.  I am repeating the class on Saturday, April 3, at 1 PM in the Cat/Art Studio ~ join me!

I also have a Blending 102 class scheduled for April 17 to teach six more techniques but you must have the 101 class first.  And, you'll want to ~ hope to see you in class!

This is the class that I had yesterday and everyone seemed to love it.  We made four cards and two notecards ~ one of them is above.  I am hoping that there are others who would like to relax and enjoy a pretty colorful class ~ these cards are perfect to send to dear friends and you will have a new technique added to your cardmaking skills.  The class fee is $30 ~ 1/2 price in February with an in-class order of $25.
