GOOD MORNING MAGNOLIA BUNDLE, page 37, Annual Catalog. WOW ~ such a pretty card. Geri made this card using the 'gatefold with diagonal corners' technique. I have asked her to demonstrate her technique at our next meeting which will be in August. I will share with you at that point. Geri, our Guest Artist, ~ thanks for sharing!
My Team, Southern Stars, met this afternoon for our June Team meeting. I had my projects ready yesterday but on the news last night there was information about our local tragedy and the individuals returning to work in the Virginia Beach Municipal Center. The speaker was saying that some of our communities were sending cards to show support. I posted on our team facebook page that we would be making cards today and wanted to show you the results ~ so proud of my team!
I didn't post yesterday because I had a class at the Botanical Gardens in the morning and my team meeting in the afternoon. It was a fun busy day! I will post some of the cards from our SWAP tomorrow ~ the theme was to use any set in the new catalog. Meghan is a demonstrator on my team and she kindly brought a 'make & take' (a bookmark for the new IN-COLORS) for everyone at the meeting. Afterwards, I showed her a new teeny tiny cardstock holder that I had ordered recently from Stamp-N-Storage (the fabulous craft storage company in MN.) and she was so tickled. She laughed and laughed! Here she is ~
And, a simple change ~ the color of the font on this post is POPPY PARADE! Stampin' Up! posted a chart on their website recently ~ 2019-2020 COLOR CHART ~ and, besides the colors in each collection they included the HEX VALUES. I didn't understand HEX values so I asked my team to 'update' me! Marie presented the information to our group and now I can post in Stampin' Up! colors! Thanks Marie! This is a nice color chart so you might want to print it off for yourself. Enjoy!
I showed you Marion's fabulous stamp room in her new home a few days ago and mentioned that she had used her SCAN N CUT machine to cut out the stamped images for the project we were working on last Saturday afternoon. I also said that I would give you a little more information about the Scan N Cut.
Marion stamped the little pigs on our Whisper White cardstock and pushed the 'magic' button. The paper moved under the crossbar and back ~ the machine had scanned the pigs. She pushed the button again and the cardstock moved so that the machine cut out each of the pigs! AMAZING!
All of these images (except the little flowers) were cut out by the Scan N Cut machine by Brothers. I didn't use the piggy on my project. I did use Crafting Forever stamp set and the Petal Palette stamp set & dies. THANKS MARION ~ loved the project and your machine!
Yesterday afternoon was our March Stampin' Up! Team Meeting. My team of demonstrators are named SOUTHERN STARS and they are ~ stars! We have a brief business meeting (we discussed Sale-a-bration) and then craft together. Yesterday we all made the INCREDIBLE LIKE YOU PROJECT KIT on page 21 in the Occasions Catalog and used four different Sale-A-Bration stamp sets to make cards. We do a swap at each of our meetings ~ our March theme was Wedding & Anniversary cards (these ladies outdid themselves ~ there are some beautiful cards!). Denise was our March Super Crafting Star and took home the prize ~ the PAINTED SEASONS BUNDLE in the second SAB brochure for her beautiful card.
And, now is the purrrrfect time to join my wonderful TEAM of demonstrators ~ here is a link to my January post telling you the reasons WHY now is the BEST time to join us ~
Anna Marie Carter created this card for our team meeting swap. She used the stamp set THIS LITTLE PIGGY on page 33 in Stampin' Up!'s annual catalog. She had so much fun she made multiple cards using different pigs from the set, coloring them different colors with our blends and using different colors of the Gingham Gala DSP! She enjoyed making her swap cards so much ~ she couldn't stop laughing when she was showing us all the cards. And, all of us had a hard time choosing which of the cute piggy cards we wanted to keep! Thanks Anna Marie!
Here is another card from our team meeting on Saturday afternoon. It is created by Patti Barish and, besides being her swap card, she let each of us make one. Everyone enjoyed her project ~ she even brought the tea lights for us! Thanks, Patti!
Our swap at yesterday's STARS meeting was cards with the theme of wedding, love, anniversary, Valentine's Day. This card was created by my friend, Nancy Clagett ~ a new demonstrator who seems to be enjoying stamping more and more. She stamped for the first time this year when some friends invited her to join their stamp club and she decided it made sense to join for that 20% discount to purchase the products on her list! Good decision! Nancy used The Delicate Lace Edgelits (#147053 on page 217) and the Petal Promenade DSP (#146913 on page 190) to create this beautiful wedding card. Lovely, Nancy!
I always feel bad when I miss a couple of days posting to my blog ~ like I did the last couple of days. The time has been dedicated to Stampin' Up! and my team, Southern Stars. A staff person, Tanner Smedley, invited himself over to meet my team ~ he is in a new position at Stampin' Up! (rather like a district manager of this region) and wanted to meet demonstrators in this area. He was delightful and 18 of my team came to meet him Friday evening at six!
He sent Stampin' Up! supplies for us to use when we got together.
Tags under construction &, below, a happy group of stampers!
Our guest, TANNER SMEDLEY.
Finished tags and the cute tin that holds the kit! The following day was my monthly TEAM MEETING. One of my team, Denise Caudron, is a Professional Organizer besides being a Mom and a Demonstrator. At our meeting on Saturday afternoon she presented information that we all needed ~ the title of her presentation was 'Organizing your Sacred Creative Space'. She had so many great tips!!!! I am thinking of asking her to present to my stamping friends this fall sometime. You would love the information ~ and, Denise! Thanks, Tanner, loved having you! Do come back ~ you are always welcome! Susan Elise
I hope you enjoyed everyone's swaps yesterday. I am posting the remainder of our swap today. The meeting also included a wonderful presentation by Monica Giberti who lives in Northern Virginia and brought four of her team members with her. She talked about her stamping business and answered questions ~ great job. We also had demonstrations and spent time creating two cards using the stamp set/bundle COLOR YOUR SEASON which is available from Stampin' Up! ~ just this month! The rain/storm on Saturday afternoon ended our meeting on a very wet note!
