New Catalog Time

I hope your new catty has arrived!  I am hearing from lots of creative friends that the new catty was in their mailbox on Friday & Saturday.  I was able to preorder and also did a 'speed delivery' so that I could see the new colors in person and begin to play with one of the new suites.  I choose the Countryside Inn suite.

You can find the COUNTRYSIDE INN SUITE COLLECTION (161474) on page 62 and 63 in Stampin' Up's 2023-24 catalog.  The suite includes the Bundle, one cling stamp and seven dies, the designer series paper and the blossoms embossing folder.  I was surprised to find ONE stamp and initially wondered about using it.  However, it is one stamp that can create endless opportunities for creativity!  I really like it and ~ I love the DSP!  I'll post a card I made with this bundle later today!

All About Stampin’ Up!’s Online Exclusives

I’m sure by now that you’ve heard or read about Stampin’ Up!’s new product offerings called, “Online Exclusives.” Stampin’ Up! has initiated this program so that it can respond more quickly to relevant trends in the crafting world. Because it’s a totally new offering by Stampin’ Up!, I’d like to take this opportunity to explain what it is and how it works.

Online Exclusives in a Nutshell

What They Are. Online Exclusives are products that Stampin’ Up! will offer ONLY online. You won’t see any of these products in their print catalogs. You may already know that the Kit Collection are online only. But now there will be a complete line of Stampin’ Up! products online only – stamp sets, papers, embellishments and more.

Online Exclusive Header1
Where You Can Find Them Online. When you shop Stampin’ Up!’s online store, you’ll find a drop-down list of “departments” in that store. Look down the list and you’ll see Online Exclusives. You may notice that there’s no breakout of types of products for that category. That’s because all current Stampin’ Up! products that are available online only, kits included, are in this category. Click on that link and shop!

SU Online Exclusive1

How You Will Know What’s Available. Online Exclusive products will not have a set end date, and some will only be available “while supplies last.” If you see a product listed in the store, it’s available for purchase, if not immediately, then in the future. If a product sells out and it’s not a “while supplies last” product, it will still be listed. But that product will have the words, “Currently Unavailable,” in red under the product description. If a “while supplies last” product sells out, it will not be listed.

SU Online Exclusives2

When New Online Exclusive Products Will Be Released? New Online Exclusive products will be released at the beginning of the months of March, July and November. This is part of a complete revision to their product release strategy. So, expect some fun new products all through the year on a regular schedule from now on!

How Will Online Exclusives Affect Stampin’ Up!’s Catalogs?

Catalogs will still be the main resource to know what Stampin’ Up! is offering. We’ll still have their Annual Catalog (coming  in May!), as well as seasonal Mini Catalogs.

Ordering Online Exclusives

You may order any Stampin’ Up! products any way you wish. If you prefer to order online, you’ll just order the Online Exclusive products just as you order any other products. If you prefer to have me place your order for you, just let me know. I can place the order for you just as I always have, whether it’s at an event, by e-mail or over the phone. I’m here to help you with ALL Stampin’ Up! products.

Tips Time ~

I spent most of yesterday unpacking five orders that UPS had delivered this past week.  As you can imagine, that is a lot of Stampin' Up! products!  So, I just wanted you to know that as hard as I try there are occasions when I miss something and your order might not be correct.  So, Tips Time ~ be sure to follow up and make sure that Susan Elise did get your order correct!

When you purchase anything from Stampin' Up! always check your order to make sure everything is ok.

  • Make sure that all of the Stamps stamp a good image
  • Are ink pads nice and juicy?
  • All Markers are juicy and not dry?
  • Paper is not bent?

Stampin’ Up! Has a wonderful return policy but we need to contact them within 90 days

One exception to that is the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machines have a 3-YEAR WARRANTY!

You can contact me with any issues and I can help you.  If I don't have an answer or can't make the correction to your satisfaction I will be happy to call Stampin' Up! for you.

Fun Color Facts

In Colors over the Years by Monika Lenkeit Davis
Hi Leaders -
I know right now the talk is all about the refresh of our colors. I decided to go back through all the catalogs and get some facts about our In Colors and the color refreshes we had the last few times. I've put everything into a word document along with photos of each of the in color families from the catalogs. Out of our current 40 core colors - 16 were previous In Colors. I shared with my team yesterday and thought you might find it interesting as well. The word document is attached as a file.
I found that in 2010-11 catalog we added 6 brand new colors and brought back 10 In Colors.
In 2013-14 catalog we added 1 brand new color and brought back 9 In Colors.
In 2018-19 catalog we added 10 brand new colors and brought back 6 In Colors.

The DSP makes it easy peasy!

Irresistible Blooms Suite: Creating Cards with Designer Series Paper

Have you noticed that Stampin’ Up! has been designing papers that work with their punches and dies? The first few times I was a bit skeptical that just cutting images out of paper would allow me to create a beautiful card. It sounded something like what I did in grade school.

But no more, especially with Stampin’ Up!’s newest online-only suite, Hello, Irresistible. (Online-only means that the product will not be in a catalog.)  When I saw the samples that they showed in their introductory flyer about this suite, I knew I had to see if I could create cards that I liked just as much as theirs. Success! And I did it with die-cut images.

Irresistible Card1

This card is made with several products from the new suite of products. The Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper is the background. The stamped splash marks and the die-cut image in the center are also from the suite. But what I’d like you to focus on for this article are those beautiful flowers. The flowers and the leaves aren’t stamped – they’re die-cut from prints in the same paper set as the background layer. The idea for this card came from a square card in one of the Stampin’ Up! product flyers.

Irresistible Card2This card is also based on a card in a Stampin’ Up! flyer. And those flowers and leaves are also die-cut from the same set of papers. No fancy stamping and embossing here. Just some quick and easy die-cutting!

I’m going to focus on three of the prints in the Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper set that’s now on sale.

Irresistible DSP1

This first sheet has images you can cut with both floral outline dies in the Irresistible Blooms Dies. There are three of the larger flowers available to cut and four of the smaller flowers. You can take this entire 6” x 6” sheet of paper and run it through the full-size Stampin’ Cut ‘n Emboss machine. Notice how the color of this print moves from yellow to pink. There are several different colors of flowers that can be cut.

Irresistible DSP2

The sheet is the same print as the first, but colored mostly with a darker pink. When you cut from this paper, the flowers are going to be a bolder color than when you cut from the first sheet.

Irresistible DSP3This is one of two sheets with leaves that you can cut with three of the dies in the Irresistible Blooms die set. You can actually get all three dies onto the paper at the same time for one run through the cutting machine. I didn’t try to count the number of leaf sets you can get from this. It’s a lot!

Dry Brushed Metallic DSP

Oldie but goodie!!!  I found this in my files this morning and decided to mount it on the fabulous DRY BRUSHED METALLIC DSP in the current mini catalog.  Who remembers this stamp set?  What is the name of the set?  Do you still have it?

HELLO, IRRESISTIBLE

This is my swap card from our team meeting on Saturday afternoon.  I used the new Irresistible Blooms Bundle and the matching designer series paper.  These two products are part of a new Stampin' Up! initiative called ONLINE EXCLUSIVES.  It's new and it's different.  Previously, all of the products carried could be found in a catalog but, now, there will be some exclusive online products.  Print out the flyer below for current information.
